 Syllabus for Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Dance

1st Year

Theory:            Theory  of Dance

Practical:         Kartika Dance of Koch-Rajbongshi Community

2nd  Year

Theory :           Theory  of Dance, Taal- Laya

Practical :          Goalini Dance of Koch-Rajbongshi Community

3rd   Year

Theory:            Folk Dance/Classical Dance and Traditional Dance (A Theoretical Introduction)

Practical :         Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Dances and Rituals with special reference to Kartika and Huduma  Dance

4th Year

Theory  :          Indigenous  Folk Dance and Traditional Dance with reference to Tribal Dances

Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Dances and Rituals with special reference to Kartika and Huduma  Dance

Practical:         Maroi Dance and Bishohari with relation to other Tribal Dances such as Bodo Kherai/ Hajong Maroi

5th  Year

Theory :           Folk Drama and its relation with   Folk Dance

Practical:         Types of kushan (Dotora Kushan and Khara Kushan)

6th Year

Theory :           Koch-Rajbongshi Ritual, Festival, Custom and Folklore with relation to Folk Dances.

Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Dances and Rituals with special reference to Kartika and Huduma  Dance

Practical:         Baas Nritya, Euri Maga, Sonaray etc.

7th Year

Theory :           Folk Dances of North East (A Theoritical Introduction)

Practical:         Bihu(Assamese culture), Ferkanti (Rava Culture), Chor Khela (Hajong Culture) Koch-Rajbongshi Sonaray etc.

8th Year

Theory :           Folk Dances of North East

Practical:         Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Songs, Koch-Rajbongshi Folk Musical  Instruments with relation to Koch-Rajbongshi Community of Assam.

9th Year

Theory:            Comparative Study of Folk and Indigenous Dances with special reference to Koch-Rajbongshi Community

Practical:         Koch-Rajbongshi Indigenous, Traditional and Modern dances with Performance.

10th Year

Theory:            Types of Folk, Indigenous, Traditional  and Modern Dances of Koch-Rajbongshi  Community in Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Meghalaya, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Practical:         Kushan , Palatiya, Natua ,Kama-mata,  Pachali , Modern Dances etc.
