Koch-Rajbongshi Folklore Academy is an academic institution under Koch-Rajbongshi Cultural Society for research and training of Koch-Rajbongshi folk song, dance , music and folk musical instruments. It was established on 21st September, 2014 at Dimalgaon, Kokrajhar, Assam basically to train up the young learners in the field of Koch-Rajbongshi folk song, dance and music following a resolution of the Koch-Rajbongshi Cultural Society. It is also expected to make familiar the young learners with the cultural heritage, historical and traditional events, aspects and folklore of Koch-Rajbongshi community. The institution started functioning with regular classes from 1st February,2015 with a good number of dedicated folk artists as teachers as well as resource persons.
The institution has also been training up the young students for CCRT scholarship provided by Govt. of India in different fields of Koch-Rajbongshi folk song, dance and music through well experienced instructors as well as folk artists.
